If you adore karaoke, you’ll be saddened that this article had to be formalized. Yet some over the top bad behavior is going down at karaoke venues lately. The bad manners aren’t limited to just the usual inebriated performers, either. I’m seeing karaoke veterans breaking the unwritten rules! Thought I was going to see a cat fight between two sweet old ladies last week about “It Could Happen to You.” Poor Frank is spinning in his grave.

Below you’ll see only an abbreviated rundown of basic etiquette for karaoke shows. Sadly, I anticipate that the very performers who need to read this compilation the most are likely to be the utter last to examine it. Let me pretend that karaoke DJs will read this, copy it, and post it on their karaoke DJ equipment all around the world.

They are the “You Know Better” manners. I’m depending on the idea that you will agree that this painless list so self-evident that you’ll be amazed that I took the trouble writing it. If you don’t understand what I’m saying, maybe you should adjust the volume up on etiquette. Am I sounding very ancient now? “When I was a girl, the machine karaoke jukebox cost just a nickel…”

Boo-ing and heckling a singer is an absolute break down of decorum

Always clap for the karaoke performer at the end of their tune. Doesn’t matter if the singing sounded like someone was skinning a cat. Think of it this way, applause is the remedy to an injured ego. Allow everyone can have an off day.

Never leap up on the stage, steal the microphone and begin uninvited duets. If you are not invited, glue your bottom to your seat.

Don’t bite the head off your karaoke DJ. Shouting, hassling, or nagging aren’t polite responses to a perceived unjustified wait for your turn on stage. A decent karaoke DJ puts some thought into ordering songs. You would be surprised about all the factors that determine when your song is called or when your request fits into the overall night the best. So always leave the KJ the benefit of the doubt. Naturally, karaoke slips do get lost so when you suspect a mishap ask the karaoke DJ politely during an opportune moment.

Treat the songbook and the microphone with respect. This hardware is expensive and it is typically the personal property of the karaoke DJ. Considering the miserly amount many DJs earn, disrespecting their VocoPro system is very bad manners.

Don’t put in a request slip in someone else’s name. I can’t think of a scenario where a real friend could do this.

Refrain from profanity while you have the microphone. Vulgarity shouldn’t be amplified through a five hundred watt speaker.

Drunken karaoke is only entertaining for the singer who is drunk. And sometimes, that happy perception changes when you wake up later on. Enjoying a pre-performance shot for a little karaoke bravery is an honored part of the process, but when you can barely remain standing to sing then you probably ought to stay seated. When you’re going to drink till you fall down, never put in karaoke request slips!

And that’s how people behave when they know the basic karaoke etiquette. I hope that you see the rules of polite karaoke etiquette carried out at every show you visit. But if you observe patrons acting up on every side, print out these 8 rules for karaoke etiquette and post them up. Spread knowledge of karaoke courtesy around the country!

A life time of personal evolution music is contained in the M-30 Jorma Kaukonen Custom Artist Edition Fingerstyle Acoustic Guitar.
Jorma Kaukonen is an acoustic blues fingerstyle guitarist and veteran from the 60’s music revolution. You may have heard of Jefferson Airplane who flew straight out the of Haight-Ashbury district in San Francisco as part of the vanguard of the psychedelic movement. Jorma and fellow blues
buddy, bassist Jack Cassidy, were the backbone of Jefferson Airplane, infusing blues roots into the 60’s music scene. Before he joined the Jefferson Airplane, acoustic fingerstyle blues was Kaukonen’s only interest. He like so many youngsters was blown away by what amps and effects can do for a guitar. He turned on the electricity. Jorma cranked that knob up to 10 and the rest is music history.

Jefferson Airplane’s second album was called Surrealistic Pillow. Two of the period’s most popular songs came from that album; White Rabbit and Embryonic Journey. Jorma Kaukonen demonstrated his fingerstyle expertise with Embryonic Journey. Jefferson Airplane tours
would often include performances by Jorma and Jack’s side project, Hot Tuna. Hot Tuna was a band based totally on Mr Kaukonen’s love for acoustic
fingerstyle blues. The guitar technique of Rev Gary Davis became his inspiration in the early years and remain a part of his performance. Hot Tuna might show up as an acoustic band or it might show up electric and blow your socks off. Sometimes all the members of Jefferson Airplane would be on the stage performing with Hot Tuna.

After leaving Jefferson Airplane Jorma Kaukonen dedicated his life to doing what he most loved. Blues guitar fingerstyle. He started Fur Peace Ranch
where aspiring and veteran musicians can get together and share in the love of the art of the guitar. His interest and love of Martin guitars
inspired the guitar manufacture to build an instrument to Mr Kaukonen’s specifications. He wanted the wider 1 and 3/4 inch neck with a solid spruce
top and mahogany back and sides. Jorma requested a larger sound hole to enhance mid range and treble which is preferred amongst acoustic fingerstyle
guitar players. As a life accomplishment Jorma Kaukonen has successfully blended acoustic fingerstyle blues with rock and roll. The M-30 Jorma Kaukonen Custom Artist
Edition Fingerstyle Acoustic Guitar will be a legacy to that life.

I feel compelled to mention that Hot Tuna is still performing and will be on stage in 2010 this coming December celebrating Jorma Kaukonen’s 70th
birthday. Still rocking at 70. Jorma Kaukonen you have changed the world with your music!

One of customer review is Dweller. Here is what he said about “This hdtv is awosome, for the money i believe its the best. some of the tv’s coming out later this year are sure to beat it but thier also going to cost a couple grand more. but compared to all the hdtv’s out now this tops them all thanks to precision dimming, finnaly those cloudy looking blacks are gone. allowing for a prestine picture. i have owned panasonic plasmas and older samsung and this easily tops them all just because of the precision dimming. You see any hdtv can give great colars and great motion but only a handfull can give you good blacks making it in my opinion the number thing to look for when buying a new tv. And haveing the 3D feature as an extra option is awosome. glad i purchased it.”

With a panel twhich is only 1.2 inches thick, the Samsung UN55B8000 55 LED TV is among the slimmest devices in its class. This extraordinary device stands a total of 56.9 inches but with a diameter of 1.2 inches. In fact, the Samsung UN55b8000 looks more like a painting than an LED TV.

Ever since this LED TV was released, it has won multiple awards for its beauty and image quality.
A living room would not be complete if it does not have a good television set. Getting the right television is as important as getting the right furniture. The Samsung UN55b8000 has piano black finish, which makes it blend to its surroundings very well. Whether you have a classical or modern looking living room, it will blend seamlessly. The combination of both glossy finish and crystal like neck offers a very neutral feel, which makes it match any decor.

Even though the Samsung UN55b8000 55 LED TV is just 1.2 inches thick, it can beat most of its counterparts in terms of picture quality. The Auto Motion Plus can reach a refresh rate of blazing fast 240 Hz. This kind of refresh rate can capture fluid movement regardless of speed and frame rate. Having a super fast refresh rate minimizes any motion blur or jerkiness. Moreover, the Samsung LED TV has a wide color enhancer and dynamic contrast ratio which can provide the right amount of light or color to any scene.

In today’s society, multitasking is necessary for any situation. The same fact is true with our appliances. The Samsung UN55b8000 55 LED TV can also function as an internet-browsing device. It has a built-in Ethernet port that make you able to connect it to the router or modem. If you choose wireless, you can always purchase a USB dongle for less $80. There are downloadable widgets that are specifically made for popular sites like Flickr and Yahoo.

Do not make its size fool you. It has more ways to connect than most LED TVs in the market. You can use the AllShare feature, which lets you share any content with other users once the Samsung UN55B8000 connected to the internet. If you have movies on a external hard drive or flash disk, you can plug it in via the USB, and watch your favorite movies without copying them.

Extra features like Game Mode and Picture-in-Picture add more value to the Samsung UN55b8000. The Game Mode feature is very helpful if you are fond of playing console or PC games on in. During Game Mode, the refresh rate is at its maximum and response time is also maximized so that you get fluid and realistic movement.

The Samsung UN55B8000 is among the very few LED TVs that do not contain any mercury. It also use very little power compared to conventional LCD TVs in the market. Edge LED lighting drastically reduces power consumption. You do not have to worry about your electricity bill if the kids watch TV the whole day.

Overall, the Samsung UN55B8000 55 LED TV is a good multifunctional device. It offers many features and functionality at an affordable price. This model is highly recommended if you are looking for great value for your money without sacrificing looks.

The TV mini series Band of Brothers is thought of as amongst the very best warfare motion pictures ever made. Based upon the book by Stephen Ambrose, the 10 parts tell the actual story about the men of Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Regiment of the American 101st Airborne. Episode one starts off with Easy Companies basic training at Toccoa, Georgia just before moving on to England as they make ready for a role in the D-Day Assault at Normandy.

Each episode gets under way by talking to original soldiers of Easy Company. The men remember their war time encounters that the episode relates to but yet at this point, the old soldiers aren’t revealed. Though the men are not identified, the episodes tells you about the people from the start and the actors are well selected making it very easy to relate to them from the very start.

Although the action scenes are filmed superbly, why Band of Brothers stand above plenty of alternative war films is it brings out the personal stories so effectively. To illustrate, in episode 2 only before Easy are set to leap into Normandy, among the soldiers, Bill Guarnere, finds out his brother has been killed at Montecassino.

The 10 episodes tell the stories of Easy beginning with their basic training prior to heading into action in Northern France and to the village of Carentan. Episode 4 sees the introduction of replacement men into Easy Company and illustrates the challenges they have being accepted by the D-Day veterans as Easy are involved in Operation Market Garden.

The subsequent two episodes cover the build up and then the action at Bastogne throughout the Battle of the Bulge. By now a number of Easy Company are at breaking point and it is the subject of episode 7. As the war in Europe nears the finish, there is a final patrol for Easy Company. The horrors of war are brought to the forefront as the men find a concentration camp. The final episode sees Easy head into Austria where they capture the Eagle’s Nest high in the mountains at Berchtesgaden.

The series closes with interviews with the men of Easy and at long last identifies the men that audiences started to know in the course of the 10 episodes of Band of Brothers.

Warning: Potential Spoilers Ahead!

I recently saw The Karate Kid with Jackie Chan as the older but emotionally traumatized maintenance man with martial skills who helps our protagonist hero to learn the ways of Kung Fu so that he can meet both the kids who are stalking him and his own fear in a tournament.

One of the most interesting parts of the movie is when they went to a temple to see real Kung Fu being practiced. The martial artists there did strange things like being still to the point of controlling a menacing and poisonous snake. This kind of Kung Fu is a bit higher than the street fighter variety.

Jackie Chan did a good job of not overshadowing the hero of the story – a young early teen kid who had his own special love interest.

The agony of Chan’s character’s past is a reflection of how lost love can hurt and drive you (temporarily) insane.

And speaking of China, isn’t that where they get Cho Yung Tea?

As many of us know, there are people who could use a therabreath review to help with bad breath. Gingivitis can be dealt with by using oramd

The Kid has a special love interest where love is new and fresh – but fraught with peril when the young girl had to tell him goodbye for dishonoring her family. Chan teaches the kid how to properly apologize and put himself back in the good graces of the family. All this in time for her to be in the audience during the Kung Fu tournament.

Wow, good movie with lots of cool inner meanings and just the right amount of action and not too much like many other movies!

At least the bad guys, in the end, showed some respect!

Worth seeing…

For many people, the filmmaking industry is a lifetime call and not merely a transient phase.

It almost seems impossible that the James Bond movies are approaching 50 years of age and now span 22 movies in the series. Certainly Lord of the Rings, Start Wars and Harry Potter have been ourstandingly successful too and in some measures more so, but few can argue with the seemingly eternal appeal of the James Bond films.

The attraction of James Bond is clear to see; as they say every woman wants to be with Bond and every man wants to be him, obviously the character has tapped into some kind of universal need. What James Bond represents is the man who can do anything he wants, which is certainly an attractive quality, especially if it is you that possesses it. And as well as being able to do anything, he also knows exactly what he wants and how to order it in any situation he finds himself; quite the opposite to many of us who can hardly function at a party when we meet people we don’t know.

Although the early films made a start out of Sean Connery, the films are bigger than a single actor. Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig have all donned the tuxedo and uttered the words “Bond, James Bond”. However, they all have their selection of gadgets, cool to just plain dumb, and they all have a selection of one-liners to deal with the most demanding of villains.

And the appeal of James Bond is universal, with a wide range of ages going to the more recent films. While the older generation may hark back to the days of Sean Connery, the movies continually reinvent themselves for a new generation. Just look at the difference between From Russia With Love, Moonraker and Casino Royale, for instance.

Back in April production was suspended indefinitely on the next movie – currently known as Bond 23 – due to the crisis at MGM, it is unknown when the next James Bond movie will be released. Let us hope that it isn’t too long, as the world needs its fix of 007.

The Toy Story release in Europe is getting very close indeed and so much time and effort has gone into making the movie as well as all of the merchandise that is going to be available when the film hits the box office, what are the range of things that are to be released?.

Clever Marketing

The really clever thing about Toy Story is the fact that it appeals to absolutely everyone in the world no matter how old you are which the fantastic thing about the franchise is. In my opinion Pixar have really gone to town with this film in that they have stuffed as many toys into it as possible, there are the normal characters, the trains so people will buy things like train sets and of course let’s not forget the entire new casting to the movie. The thing to mention is that Disney and Pixar are very clever indeed.

Not Just Toys

It is of course not just the toys that are going on sale because of this movie, there are so many other things coming forward because of it too. How about trying video games, posters along with books, this is a huge movie when it comes to merchandise there is no doubt about this. It is going to do fantastically well too already proving this in the American movie charts, and I know it is going to be the same in Europe when it hits the screens later this month. The only thing that do not seem to be selling to do with the franchise are RC helicopters however the RC Cars are covered thanks to the loveable character RC.

There is nothing wrong with trying to capture a wide audience when it comes to things like this and if you think it can be successful then why not just do it? In fact I do not think I have met someone that isn’t a fan of at least one of the movies.
